Over the weekend, Friday January 31, the Miss Turks and Caicos Universe Beauty Org. hosted a ‘Denim and Diamonds Party’; a fundraising event that saw scores of guests at the newly opened Zanzi Bar and Restaurant cheering on their favourite contestants.

With a grand entry, making their first public appearance were the 2014 Miss Universe Turks and Caicos Pageant Contestants dubbed “The Sassy Six” earlier unveiled at a private ‘Meet the Press’ event hosted by Beaches Turks and Caicos Resort Villages and Spa on Monday, January 27, 2014.

Celebrated at the ‘Denim and Diamonds Party’, Gabreann Capron, Codee Coalbrooke, Todeline Defalien, Tashy Forbes, Shanice Williams and Shante Williams are the stunning beauties vying for the coveted title Miss Universe Turks and Caicos 2014, in one of the country's most exciting national traditions and leading beauty and fashion competitions.

Other than receiving awards and prizes, The Miss Universe Turks and Caicos 2014 titleholder will become affiliated with many organizations as a goodwill ambassador. As titleholder, Miss Universe Turks and Caicos 2014 will be an inspiration to hundreds of youngsters wishing to emulate her image of a well-spoken and well groomed personality. The winner will also play a major role in promoting the Turks and Caicos Islands, which like her, is beautiful by nature and represent the Turks and Caicos Islands at the Miss Universe 2014 Pageant.

Leading up to the grand finale, the competitions of April 25 and 26, there are mandatory workshops including coaching sessions on confidence, elegance and poise, interviewing and presentation skills and workout sessions and fitness routines courtesy of Rock It Hot Fitness. There will also be a number of promotional and community events to showcase the contestants. One of the major events is Turks and Caicos Islands Fashion Week 2014 March 26 – 29, 2014.

As the competition progresses, the Miss Turks and Caicos Universe Beauty Organization will facilitate an online voting ballot for the public to cast its vote for its favorite 2014 Miss Universe Turks and Caicos Contestants. The Contestant with the most votes will be awarded Miss Popularity. The results will be announced on coronation night.
